Obviously, P99 might skew a little differently than the "typical core PC/console game", but I imagine it's pretty close to accurate.

So now if you're wondering "hey is that wood elf chick really a chick?", you know: the odds are about 1 in 3 :)

We knew men played female characters, sure, but I'd never seen an unbiased study try and put an actual number on it before.
