Project 1999 - Brother Balatin Got Hungry?

We had a Robe of the Whistling Fists turn in go badly last week, it was rather odd. So I am posting this in the interest mainly of getting a heads up out there.

My bard friend charmed Balatin, turned in Chardok pipe.

I turned in my Robe of the Lost Circle. Balatin seemingly returned it...

I handed it back, along with Karnor's pipe. Received nothing.

Our best guess is that when I handed Balatin the RotLC, by itself, what I thought was him handing it back to me was really a RotWF. They look the same on your cursor...

But that would mean Balatin gave me the RotWF after only two of the three items had been turned in...

So the next obvious question is, "If Balatin despawns with a partial turn in on him, will he retain it, until the turn in is completed?"

That seems to be the only possible way our attempted turn in could have failed, short of an actual bug.

Note the failed turn in includes a message from Balatin which normally indicates success.

I do not expect any reimbursement, I only hope this is helpful.
