Also, plat still drops. Instant CoS doesn't. 20-30k is actually quite a bit cheaper than inventing a time machine.

I think what people arent factoring in is that there would be plently of low level twink necro/sks that have them that people dont play anymore.

So an increase in price is a way to tempt them to sell them too.

I thought it wasn't that big of a deal when I didn't have one on my necro, but then I got one and it is very very nice to have. Instant invis whenever is kind of cool.

But, when I had mine, they still dropped and you could purchase for cheap.

If you don't have one at this stage I could kind of see with doing without unless you make a bunch of plat and don't mind dropping 30k or however much it will be by the time that time comes.

I mean, I don't want to go too far down the rabbit hole of price speculators and what not. But if 30k is the going rate these days I mean... people pay a lot more than 30k for a lot worse items. Imagine in an alternate universe where Pre-nerf CoS had never dropped from Droga but instead was a raredrop from Ntov and still dropped... it would cost 100+k I'm sure. It's a great item and for sure I would pay 30k if I didn't own one and was hyped about playing a necro or an sk.

Exactly. This is why I've bought 4 recently. I highly recommend buying these as investments if you can get them for 22-23k from people who don't really understand the situation and overall usefulness of CoS and need to make a quick sale.

They are only worth what they are for the convenience of not having a "target self" macro with the Goblin Gazughi Ring and for having to recharge a Ring of Shadows. No one should pay over 20k

That's what they said at 2k, 5k, 10k, 15k. I'll bet we see 50k easy within a year.

They're a limited supply, I'd imagine the price will go up eventually.

Citing Ring of Shadows as an alternative is fair, I guess, but it really pales in comparison. The luxury of always being able to click CoS for free, limitless invis is immeasurably more convenient and QoL than having to load up backpacks with items with 3 charges.

I mean HEB is also just a luxury version of stalking probe but it’s about convenience.

If only comparing the ability to break charm I don’t think the difference between goblin ring and cos is very big though.
