Yeah I will say what’s odd to me is people who won’t get vaccinated under the God’s will argument, but are then fine with going to a doctor/the hospital if they get COVID. How is seeking medical treatment for the disease not interfering with God’s will but getting the vaccine to prevent it is?

My workplace is about 90% liberal (behavioral health) and interestingly enough, the last report said only 35% of workplace has gotten the vaccine. We have a significant amount of black employees, only one of which has told me he trusts the vaccine enough to have gotten it (two others I’ve worked with said they didn’t)

Rather than fire people for not having it like Banner hospital is doing, my work is doing a raffle where you enter by submitting your vaccine card with a chance to win $2,500. Not sure if this is going to do anything to increase our % of vaccinated employees

Still, it’s a better idea than firing employees for not having it. Not like our work could lose 65% of their employees anyway and still function

With the exception of some inner cities and dense population centers, most of our hospital system (beds and staffing) is planned around two things: Insurance coverage and flu season. So we don't need one more thing to stress the system. That's the point. It's not hard to understand. Any expert will tell you. You won't listen because it doesn't match your narrative.

Also, the illiberal left counts for 40% of vaccine disinformation that is spread through social media. Trumptards don't have a monoploly, but the venn diagram here for Trumptard and fucking moron is almost a single circle.

You need to quit thinking you know things that you're not qualified to know. As a smart guy, your focus should be solely left to evaluating information from experts on topics where you're not qualified, not coming up with your own theories and applying your layman's logic.

I strongly recommend the Death of Expertise by Tom Nichols. He's a republican who teaches at the navy war college. It's a very good read.

...Not to mention a for-profit health care system that has a strong financial incentive to maintain a little spare capacity as it can get away with. This has been a slowly growing problem since at least the 80's. It's almost as if our entire health care system is a poorly-run trainwreck.
