Beta Patch 20191014
 

I want to thank all the players that have been testing and reporting bugs on the Beta server. We've fixed numerous amounts of issues, all of which are being patched in with this update. I don't have a comprehensive changelog list, but anything that was reported and marked resolved by a developer will be patched in.

We are also implementing a few new large changes to the Beta server.

The first is a full overhaul to Nighttime Darkness that's been worked on by Blank and Telin. These changes utilize the Dynamic Lightning engine present in the Titanium client to restore full night time darkness to the player races that should be blind. This means that light sources (Fire Beetle Eyes, Torches, etc) and vision spells (Ultravision) have become very important to those races again. The next update being implemented is some significant changes being done to our current Velious UI, worked on by a large team of the community. They have been working to restore the look of UI elements, including windows, buttons, and more. More information about that can be found in this thread.

Make sure you get the latest patch files 50f.

I might have misunderstood but are the UI changes in this patch we just did or an upcoming? Or some of them now? Obviously the UI is different as of this patch and my main issue is the Inventory window text and elements are just so small now. Was that intentional? I can barely see the blue bar on top of the bubbles unless I squint... granted my eyes are not amazing... maybe its a resolution issue on my end.

This new lighting is fantastic as a human. Luckily I already had a greater lightstone but I keep taking it off to see the difference. Awesome work!
