Rotating ZEM?
 

I remember back on Live rotating ZEM. Do you think this will ever be implemented on P99? I’m getting kind of tired of the Hole...lol

I'd love to see the ZEMs rotate from time to time. I'd rather them not be released as they were last time. Just be told that they have changed.

Leave it up to the players to figure out which zones have the current top ZEMs.

Yeah, rotating ZEM would be super cool. I don't know how easy or hard it would be to implement, but it would be really fun to not know which ones changed, just to know that they did.

Its a good idea that's been brought up before.

The devs did change the ZEMs not long ago, but it was meant as a permanent change to be more in line with what we think they were in classic. The effect though was very positive on green...folks were willing to get off the typical path and hit up some new (to them) dungeons like CT and Runnyeye.

I believe the era of the rotating zem on live didn't start until after velious (maybe luclin or PoP)...not that it means it can't be done here, but I don't think it would be (strictly) "classic".

LOLing hard at folks saying that The Hole is getting old, it's fantastic -- I see that as the best possible evidence in favor of a rotating ZEM. before the ZEM boost, The Hole was an absolute ghost town -- if you wanted to see that zone you'd have to organize and port in your own group for a dungeon crawl. People would even make posts on the forums advocating for how fun The Hole was as a zone, begging more folks to come check it out. Imagine that for Kedge, or ToFS, or even a ZEM boost in outdoor zones like Skyfire or BW!
