Monk Solo Spots in 59
 

Hi Guys,

Epic/CoF/Fungi Monk with 2355hp and 1120ac self buffed, and I've soloed 10% of 59 in each of the following 5 camps:

Velks Ent Spiders
SolB LDC
Charasis Ent
KC Turnkey
CoM 2nd/3rd

Any other solo spot suggestions?

Probably some XP to be had in PoM. I'm sure the shrooms in the forest are mostly XP for you although there might be some greens mixed in, and the rat maze is likely filled with blue cons

Is it possible to flop your way there as a monk?

Yes. It's just 1 failed feign death likely means you're dead.

If you're able to react fast enough to Voiddance and not fail two FDs in a row you could maybe recover from the 1 failed FD. At which point do you just stay FD for 60 min waiting on disc refresh to keep moving??? Or just get a CotH there :P.

I did level 50-51 in PoM on my monk, it wasn't bad and I got 3-4 characters Disease flowers from squire drops. I did some of 59-60 in PoM on my Necro, the Not Poddle Pod are still dark blue at 59, everything else is exp green.

The rats in basement are probably still mostly blue. I though I read a comment that they can drop knights but I don't think I've seen that yet.

at 59 he doesn't have voiddance, and it probably wouldn't save you anyway with the likelihood of aggroing a glimmer or blue drake, which would have a high chance of breaking your 2nd DA anyway

and yeah the rats in the maze drop knights

How does a 59 monk not have a 54 monk discipline? Ashenhand is the 60 disc.

And I'm assuming you meant 2nd FD, rather than DA. Which is possible but if you get about halfway through and can burn a shiny brass idol, I think you can make the run.

Perhaps once my monk gets faction I may try out the run for shits and giggles.

Killed more rats last night, still no Knights. I'll remain skeptical for awhile...

I duo'd a large chunk of 59 at Effreti with a 60 torp shaman, was good loots and XP for all

As a decently geared monk you can duo efreeti with any other class. I duod efreeti with another monk through the later 50s. PoM a great option though. Xp there is dum good

also forgot voiddance was 54, haven't been sub-60 in like 4 years and ashenhand is worthless

Ohh, PoM. It is the only zone I've never seen on EQ from my days on Live or p99. I'll put in the time to get there and try it out.

Can anyone comment on these solo spots for a monk in 59?
