Sept 29 patch and FSI vs Regen
 
Okay so now that Bash will always interupt a spell even if it doesnt stun.. For Shamans and SKs..

Regen finally better?

Either on the forums or in-game, nobody even seems to notice this change. No-one's talking, no-one's complaining. It might be broken and not actually implemented for all I can tell.

Bash will not always interrupt a spell. From the patch notes: "Bash can now interrupt spells, even if the stun component does not land."

So now (for an Ogre) damage from a bash has a chance to interrupt a cast, just like damage from any other hit.

To be fair, the benefit of regen also tends to be overblown. In classic, the difference between a troll and ogre shaman at level 50, if you use every single extra troll hp for canni, is roughly 1200 mana PER HOUR. That means that you can solo one, maaaaaaybe two extra mobs PER HOUR. Or you can heal a tank up from low hp one extra time PER HOUR. Hell, a shaman fully buffing a melee at level 50 takes like 800 mana, so you could do that one extra time PER HOUR.

And then once Kunark drops and the amount of outside hp regen a shaman can stack goes through the roof with regrowth, fungi and fungi staff the troll/iksar regen bonus drops to giving them less than 20% extra regen. And that's before you factor in Torpor.

Necro (for sure) and SK (debatable) are literally the only classes that racial regen matters for at all, as far as I'm concerned, and that's just for the extra regen while using Lich or FD'd. I mean, unless you're a solo warrior maybe, but warriors are boring garbage and I hate them and I like to pretend that they don't exist.
