Malka Rale should drop Stanos' Head

Malka Rale in Qeynos Catacombs used to drop Stanos' Head to turn into General V'Ghera for the Guise of the Coercer quest (HIE mask) until it was nerfed in a patch in 2002.

Malka is currently not dropping head.

a group of friends and I killed Malka Rale down in the qeynos catacombs... she dropped stanos' head... is this the same thing? Cause I can't find any info on Malka Rale... she was pain in the butt half elf... really insane regen, con'd blue to me at 51 but still a big fight.

This is the same thing. It was a bug inadvertently introduced a few patches ago. It was fixed in the last patch. Malka no longer drops the head (and before I got one from her, dang it).

BTW, Malka Rale is the person that starts the rogue epic. Giving her the correct phrase gets you some instructions and a pouch with 20 charges of summon throwing dagger. Turning in that pouch to Anton in HHP is one of the ways to get Stanos to spawn.

From your own link it says it was a bug 'introduced a few patches ago', which would put the head only dropping on her out of era for a short time.

Please find evidence of a head dropping in era.

I seen no mention of 'prior to 2002'. That was a Nov 2002 comment and someone else even said there was a 'brief period' where she was bugged and dropped the head.

Thus far, I see no compelling evidence to suggest she dropped the head during Velious timeline.
