He meant the tunic you get in return for turning in the start note.

Some of these tunics/robes are droppable and can be found on merchants near starting locations. Others are no-drop. I don’t know the classicness of any of it.

I sold my monk tunic to a merchant for a few silver LOL

I was able to sell my Human and Dark Elf Necro newbie robes as well. I could buy one in the Freeport Magician guild too.
