Green99 Patch Progression & Changes

There has been a flurry of excitement on the forums regarding the announcement, and I am sure everyone looking forward to a Green99 server has their own ideas as to how things will play out.

Everyone seems focused on those sweet legacy items and the absolute mosh pit that will inevitably form around coveted spawns. However...

If we are going to have the game that was, how closely will bugs and/or patch fixes from early live be followed, if at all? A few examples off the top of my head are the pet attack being affected by the delay of weapons given to them, DoTs doing full damage while affecting a moving mob, spell availability to some classes being initially unavailable, then being added, such as Paralyzing Earth for wizards and necros...you get my point.

Will the overall mechanics be as they were at release in April 1999?

What about Project 1999 specific fixes and workarounds? Will we get to see newbie enchanters throwing around OP Whirl Till You Hurl spells like back in the early days of p99?

I'm sure Nilbog/Rogean will let us know the details soon.

Nobody knows.

It will be timeline specific. April 1999, may 1999 etc. Not necessary p1999 timeline. Go look at each patch and see if they flagged it a certain era.

iirc there was a post once where the management had a pretty good system to basically hit a switch manually to institute a "patch" date from live. for each major patch date that they (the management) have set up.

One day they will have the exact same patch updates to green99 part 3 or 4 as live had, with literally every single daily patch? Who knows! Not me!
