When to put down Luminescent Staff

Have a utility Druid, bought em a Lumi at 46 used it to lvl him to 51 on a steady diet of Blood Gills. Thinking of freeing up some pp, should I keep lumi for a few more lvls?

I don't have a Druid or a Lumi Staff, so I may be wrong. From my experience free damage clickies (especially good ones) are useful in the leveling process up to 60, unless you plan on basically only grouping from here on out.

If you are on blue, I certainly wouldn't suggest it as Lumi Staffs are only like 6k, and as a Druid that shouldn't take you long to earn. On Green the 14k average is a bit more tempting, but it would really depend on what you are planning to buy, and how you are planning to level from here on out. If you are just going to buy some more mana gear for soloing, it probably isn't worth the trade off, as Lumi Staff is saving you way more mana than you could possibly gain by increasing your maximum.

Thanks for the feedback.

I still used the lumi staff against wyverns in CS at 50+. Its been a few years so not sure what lvl they green out at but was a decent pp generator and the staff helps save mana.

I see druids still using lumi at higher levels. It's a great way to make up for resists, adds and botched pulls.

If you are selling it to get a gobi ring then do it. Not much else is worth it for a Druid…but you are a Druid, bind at HH and port for a few days and have both?

If you're planning on mostly charming, I would sell it.

If you're planning on mostly quadding, I would keep it until you no longer need it to finish the kills.

I used lumi staff for spirocs from 46-52, and then sold it. It was great for those levels, but I was more interested in kedge/bear pits for leveling than quadding.

The pp was more value for me in getting 50s spells, velious armor gems, etc. than mostly sitting in my inventory doing nothing. YMMV.

Ditch it at 52.

With Call of Karana, there is no reason to do anything but charm for xp. Can start in solB on bats and bugs or Chardok entrance / exit area and move to bear pits for the long grind to 60.

Not everybody plays the same way. You can quad to 60 if that is what you prefer.

Also, you can still use Lumi Staff while charming to deal free damage to the other mob, so it doesn't lose utility even then. You can use it to kill a low health mob without wasting mana. Yes it requires outdoor zones, but not everyone is required to level in the fastest XP zones, and most outdoor zones got a ZEM boost last November.

Personally I'd say to use it whenever you quad, which is likely the fastest way to level all the way up to 56-58 or so.

At that point you can go to the bear pits in Permafrost and animal charm for great XP (and also there will be limited places you can quad by then).
