New MKX launch trailer is badass!
 

I pumped SO many quarters into the original MK arcade machines when I was younger. I'm excited to play this during the next week's poop socks.

These games dont hold my interest for more than ~2-3 hours, but that looks to be a pretty cool reboot of a great classic.

Trailer looks cool, as for the game itself I'm disappointed that the game company who introduced the "fatality" gave into pressure and nerfed the boobs. Also 2GB day one patch. Lawl.

I was always a Street Fighter kinda guy. Does MK have any depth as a competitive game?

I feel the same way. I think there is some depth though i believe the real community is pretty small. Probably similar to Tekken

Tekken, rage, and that old other one with the boys and 2 or 3 mmo browser ones are bigger competitive communities. The original mk was fun. But I was a kid and I don't really like fighting games.

As with the last one, It will have a huge hype machine going until the next EVO then die down.

Mortal Kombat games are usually good for around one year of competitive play/streaming then die down until the next one.

Street Fighter is eternal though.
