Trump wasn't on the ballot.

I think it all depends on what the newly Democratically controlled House finds when it investigates Trump.

the red team lost their ability to pass legislation, making it an unmitigated disaster for them

:)

The Republicans extended their hold on the Senate.

The Democrats flipped the House and hold a 1 seat majority.

It was a pretty average midterm.

The fact that there was no "Blue Wave" speaks volumes. It's a definitely a win for Trump.

The House will be lead by people who make the Democrats look insane, so that's a plus as well.

If Republicans held everything for 4 years, the pendulum would swing much faster and that's not what they want.

Dems flipped ~30 house seats and 7 governors.

Repubs flipped 2 house seats and 2 senate seats.

Many more repub senators are up for re-election in 2022 and 2026 compared to 2018.

Trump is done.
