Ghaz's Plight thing

K so I was reading about the quest and stuff was all good, and I saw alot people were helping which was cool. So just curious, did anyone get anything? Like it just stopped.. lol Sounds like alot of work and a big quest to go on for no reward.

There was a very good reward, no items though.

Plus a bunch of us got to learn a ton about norrath's history and the various symbols found all over the place. Easily my favorite event/quest/raid in the history of playing EQ.

Had a great time. The thread stopped abruptly, but it continued in-game. :)

The actual ending had nothing to do with the beggining. I kind athought it over and the first markings we were told to figure out really played 0 part in the finished product of the image mixxit posted that he wanted figured out, other than the center image.

These events will run over Classic, Kunark and Velious and is part of a larger story arc that you are now entangled in. It's what will eventually separate p99 from live and explain the reasons for why you guys are not going to be able to step foot on luclin.

That was the reward in a sense with some extra lore and story to try to bring a bit more to the game than just levelling. It's an rpg after all :-)

But it's certainly not over yet. You just can't get to some of the other npcs mentioned as they're in kunark. Plus Al'Kabor didn't technically start researching the luclin spires until he found the hidden valley in the dreadlands.

Thanks all that were involved, it was a pleasure to run.

There is a ton of really cool lore stuff that VI developed that never made it out into the mainstream that described all kinds of stuff that explains how the world got shaped the way it did. Post Velious unfortunately sony dropped the ball and didn't keep the game going the way VI pointed it.

Good cause I was just getting into that thread when it was locked on me! :(

It was a great idea to do this and am looking forward to being there as the rest of the story unfolds in the coming year(s).
