Befallen
 

I was looking for a new place to hunt with my level 9 Erudite Mage. I decided to look down the ZEM list and I stumbled across "Befallen". It had a high ZEM, but I know nothing about it. Is this a manageable zone for a mage of that level, or should I just go to Crushbone like everyone else?

I'd goto CB. Befallen is the anti-christ, full of hate just wanting to ruin your day at low levels. Not to mention, CB is pretty high up there as well. Much more manageable, and usually always some peeps to play with there if you're not into constantly soloing. Although you're a mage, so you would be doing that mostly anyways.

Befallen is for men

if you go to befallen enjoy dying after you killed mobs due to all the necros in there. way to many casters in there and no way for lower levels to really manage the damage with heals.

not to mention getting all the keys and hoping you dont die past locked doors.

I had a blast grouping in befallen back in the day. Just make sure everyone knows what they're doing. Also remember that /corpse has unlimited Z-Axis range, so if you die spam /corpse on the first floor all over the place before you attempt a CR.

But to have success in Befallen you need to have a group that knows what they're doing. When I grouped there it was with a bunch of un-twinked characters, so I'd assume nowadays you'd have atleast 1 other person overgeared for the zone. If so then it's a cake walk.

I leveled my mage in Befallen from 8 or 9 to 15 or 16 I think it was. Grouped on the 2nd floor or just solo'd it. There are only a few rooms you can't solo on the 2nd floor. Get to know the zone, the ZEM is the bomb and as long as you're willing to do a /who all 8 15 ecommons and send some tells, you can form a group in there really easy.

Don't bother with CB, you're a mage, own the dungeon.
