Forgive my bug-reporting noobiness, please.


That aside, I am trying to get my Bloodsabers faction up just cause, so I'm running the crate of arrows to south qeynos and then gating back to Lt. Dagarok with the invoice. I've done the quest 51 times in the last 100ish minutes (which is about as fast as I can possibly do the quest by myself). I started at apprehensive with Dagarok, and I am still apprehensive with him.

These 2001 posts indicate someone went from dubious to indifferent with Dagarok in merely 11 turnins and was up to ally in 55 turnins, and that another guy went from dubious to ally in 2 hours of doing the quest by himself.


Is there something wrong here on p99? Faction ranges are too large? This quest reward is too small? Or are things supposed to be different for us compared to mid-late 2001 on live timeline?

I did the "Assist the Great Xelha" quest where you turn in 4 bonechips at a time 110 times in the last 2 days. I started at apprehensive with her and I am STILL apprehensive with her :(

Considering he went from dubious to ally after doing the quest 55 times, it seems the faction reward needs adjustment.

I think I'm just going to abandon my "hey, I should get Tecmos un-kos everywhere" goal and find something else to do instead :(

Yes it was. Should reward a good deal more faction with corrupt qeynos guards.

This quest seems to be in the right ballpark (unlike the abormally high faction reward the Qeynos quest above gives), for the minor newb quest it is.

Meanwhile I did 440 bonechips and I haven't even moved out of the apprehensive I started at. I know that potentially the people turning in only 150ish chips could have been near a faction breakpoint already, but the three taken together seem like they at least suggest 440 should be enough to go all the way through apprehensive, don't they?

Apprehensive is a much bigger range to get through then dubious or threatening.

I agree the third post does not sound reliable, and conflicts with the first two.

Hmm. I didn't realize this was supposed to be the case. I've only ever seen sources pointing to one of the two faction charts we have on the wiki, both of which show apprehensive as MUCH smaller than dubious or threatening.

Feel free to place comments on that wiki entry, warning people they are wrong. This issue comes up way too much on account of them.

Alright. Not trying to be a pain in the ass, I just found it a bit odd that the only faction ranges anyone has ever said were classic are not the ones in place on this server.
