A slightly different narrative

"History is written by the victors". The phrase has been attributed to Napolean, Churchill, and many other famous leaders throughout our history, and it still stands true to this day.

In our case we have TMO claiming to be the victors and putting forth the notion that they have "ran" many a guild off this server (thats right devs, they are actually cheering about driving players away from your project!) with their superior mobilization and domination of raid spawns.

One such guild is Inglourious Basterds. TMO is said to have completely dominated them, both inside and out of Veeshan's Peak so badly that these poor souls had no recourse but to stop playing the game altogether, sell off their characters, and drop in every now and then to poke fun at the mighty TMO with much shame.

Or so goes the narrative, according to and written by TMO. Thankfully we live in a digital era where information is stored as 1's and 0's in a database and we can reflect upon this data later on in order to establish a more accurate representation of what really happened.

With that in mind, one might begin to wonder, just how badly did TMO dominate those other guilds? Surely it must be far worse than they are dominating FE, because FE is still around despite all of this. Those other guilds must have went months without killing anything!

Well my friends, thanks to the digital age in which we live, we can answer some of those questions. In particular, let's take a peak at IB's last week of posted attendance on the server (2/10-2/16):

In total, there were 22 targets on this list after removing the VS dupe, and adding the draco/shisar to its own line. Cleaning up our list further, we can remove things like Maestro, ragefire, shissar, noble and Innoruuk since it was listed as a fail we are still presented with a pretty admirable list of 14 mobs.

Let's look at that list:

The list includes: 4VP dragons, 2 Trakanons, 2 Sevs, 2 Dracos, 1 VS, 1 CT, 1 Gore, and 1 Naggy.

This seems like quite the list for a guild that is being starved of mobs and bested by another, wouldn't you say? Makes you wonder what else TMO has said that isn't fully accurate..

I do enjoy your cherry-picking however. Maybe show a longer selection of raids, other than a 16 day period where IB got semi-close to our kill count.

I would like to see your 22 over that same period. It may be worth comparing notes. I'm sure you don't have any garbage in yours like failed raids, noble, sky bs or anything else.

That adds up to 6. So during IB's last logged week on the server per the attendance they got 14 mobs, and TMO got 6.
