Buff monitor?

Back in the day I used various third-party utilities to monitor the combat log for buff tracking, parsing, etc.

Does anyone have some tips on any good tools that I could use for this? I would especially like to track buffs from the combat log, as it's tedious to remember the recast time on the Mage DS.

With the way the client is setup, you'll be hard pressed to find anything "legal" to do it. There are some log parsers that would do this for you however, but they could be difficult to track down.

That's what I'm looking for, a log parser that could start a timer from when the buff is applied in the combat log.

EQ Companion was one I used for combat logging back in the day. It was the one everyone used.

It's still around and still works.

Admins: Will I get shit for using the above program? It's exactly what I'm looking for, and it just monitors the log file.

I just have an EQtimer set up saved specifically for buffs :3

I really enjoyed this particular program's ability to set up timers and what not to monitor buffs, but unfortunately when I run in windowed mode, my entire screen is cluttered to the point where I can't see anything. And unfortunately, you have to run in windowed mode to have the timers going.

Is there any way to make the windowed mode larger in resolution? Or is my resolution using EQWindow?

I'm running 1680x1050 on a 1920x1200 monitor without issue.

Yeah in the options of EQ you can set the resolution ... go into windowed mode and just select the resolution that is best for you ... alt + o => display => advanced ... i belive
