What you do in your own home is your business and your right. I don't smoke pot and I think people that do are idiots — that's my business and my right. I won't impose my opinions on you in the context of a group, and conversely, you should stop broadcasting your personal habits just because you're an attention whore who's under the impression that it makes you look cool. It doesn't.

Aside from the use of sports enhancement injections, I am straightedge. I don't drink or smoke and never have. I don't care if people smoke pot as long as its not around me personally and in game they dont get us killed. But yes it can get overdone with people having to tell everyone in the group their habits or having their name reflect said habit. Then again, A LOT of gamers are burnouts.

I know far more alcoholics that play than potheads. The alcoholics are just a lot less vocal about their buzzes and no one starts flame threads when someone says "brb getting another beer" but someone always gets their panties in a wad about "semi-afk a minute, rolling a joint".

I go completely straight edge from my birthday (June 25) until Christmas (December 25) every year. I mean really straight edge, no "except for..." items like caffeine or sugar or "sports enhancement injections" (you know you get to die young now, right? Enjoy your heart, liver and kidneys while they last). EQ is boring me to death since I stopped smoking pot, but going outside is increasingly exciting. I might be straight edge for good this time around.
