looking for a new game?
 

I figured Rift would suck since it was marketed as a more polished WoW, but I gave it a shot after getting the game + expansion + 30 days free on a promo, and it turned out to be a really good game. PvP is like vanilla WoW, but much better pace and balance(ie no insta kill windfury or forsaken shadow priest dot, dot, dead action), and a ton more specs.

Anyhow, if anyone from here wants to try it out, Raptr is rerunning the promo until June 12 when the game goes free to play. 10-19 and 20-29 BG q's pop in under 30 sec, lots of world PvP after 22 or so, and hundreds of brand new players on as it goes free to play.

had hoped that game would be interesting, but the vids just make it look like any other shooter

basically the only thing that stays fun for more than a week is an mmo with role based pvp or at times pve. eq pvp, early tier warhammer pvp, vanilla world pvp and early arenas, etc.

i think most people who have played this would agree on at least some level, as eq roles were so focused and eq put so much emphasis on playing your role in a group environment.
