Monk - 2h vs. 1h

Hey, I am currently a level 32 Monk and I now have Double Atk for my offhand if I am not mistaken.

If that is the case, I am wondering if I would be better off using my Cane of Harmony(12/25)/Cane of Tranquil(11/25) combo now or if my Wu's Quivering Staff(23/28) is still better dps. If anyone could shed some light on this question I'd appreciate it thanks.

equip wu's quivering staff, unequip inbetween each attack round for an offhand punch hit

So is that serious? Outside of tricks like un-equiping and anything else; which would be better dps just straight auto-attacking?

I'd say Wu's 2HB.

My rogue dual wields swords, and switches in for backstab, quite common.

Thanks for link/info. And yeah, I am not going to say it's totally un-realistic to swap weapons (with each attack, is what the monk guy is suggesting); but I would say it IS un-realistic to do that while fear kiting.

not really

What about equipping a trance stick in your MH, and a Cane of Harmony in your OH @ 35? I'm contemplating this combo for myself, and have a little over 100 DEX. I love the dmg on Wu's, but it weighs a TON.

1hand is best for soloing because it builds agro faster, and can be a problem in groups with a tank. 2 hand is best for groups. The tranq, and harmony is an awesome combo, but the Wu's Quivering Staff being slower will allow you to keep good dmg while the speed of the staff will help control your agro, if your not the tank.

Doesn't matter whether you hit or miss with weapons, each SWING builds aggro. The higher the dmg the weapon the more aggro you will get per swing, the more swings the more aggro. If you forget about procs then the only thing that matters for aggro is having the best DPS weapons possible.
