A Poll on Variance
Since FTE shouts are implemented, should variance be reevaluated?
See Poll for the information I am interested in collecting. Note: This thread is not about VP training or any other raiding issues of contention not mentioned in this thread. Please post about other issues in another thread. |
my vote is bush, towers. until i see a real poll
|
Sorry, was trying to make it as full encompassing as a poll as possible. Sorry for delay.

150 people standing on a spawn point isn't classic, sorry. people forget that variance wasn't always here and that it got changed for a reason. clearing trak's lair so you can start pooping with your entire guild isn't quite as enjoyable as killing trak with his lair spawned and only as many people as you think you need to engage and kill it
further on, the only thing you're going to collect with a poll like this is a bunch of dog shit. have fun! |

I am simply curious what the general community leans towards. If you don't vote, it doesn't help indicate how many people share your view. I'm pretty positive I had a poll option for your view. |
Variance should be removed to allow for classic mechanics to exist. More simultaneous server repops.
Is what I voted on for the sake of classicness. However I wouldn't mind much if variances stayed but we also received a weekly repop. |
I don't mind variance. But week long windows are utterly ridiculous. With FTE shouts and window extensions, mob windows should be cut in half at least imo. +-48 hours with extensions is just bad.

Let 150 people poop, it will mean training will be inefficient and FTE shouts will work...provided the zones don't crash

The current ruleset only encourages the worst type of poop-socking behavior in order to succeed on the server.
On the other hand, I wouldn't try to raid even if there was no variance.. So, it pleases me that it to see these people forced to waste 100s of hours tracking, staring at the wall in Trak lair and being generally hermity virgins while I'm out partying on a weekend night. |
