Roll Tide Roll

Tomorrow kicks off the 121st season for The Alabama Crimson Tide, the greatest tradition in football.

What will this season bring? A 24th SEC championship? An unmatched 16th national championship marking an unprecidented 3 in a row, 4 in 5 years, 8 in a row for the SEC, and 5 in a row for the SEC West, specificly, the state of Alabama? Does this season mark the beginning of Nick Saban's possible crowning as the greatest coach in the history of the sport with a shot at a record greater than that of The Bear himself?

Or will we get knocked off early by Johnny Football and the Aggies of Texas A&M? LSU? Will Georgia continue their dominance of the SEC East (and learn how to read a clock) and take us out in Atlanta in December? Will another dark horse SEC program? Does Virginia Tech come from out of nowhere and find redemption tomorrow?

Will Tennessee's new coach bring them out of their slump or will they continue to suck as the football gods intended? Will Vols fans in orange overalls continue to paint big orange Ts on camo pickup trucks? Will Notre Dame manage to string 3 wins together in September, making the sporting press swoon yet again, ride popular opinion and the polls into another championship game, and continue their reign as the most overrated program in the history of football?

Regardless, it's sure to be a great season.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!

Pretty sure this is going to end up in rants and flames pretty quickly. That being said fuck Alabama, they have the worst fan base in college football. Nothing but a bunch of ignorant shit talking inbred hicks.

Fuck football. There's still 2 months of baseball season left, and then it will be time to catch up on shows I haven't had time to watch since the end of March.

The Aggie offensive line will be just as strong this year, and (luckily) Johnny Manziel received only a half-game suspension.

9/14/13: Alabama going down!

Well, how about not ranting and flaming in my thread and it won't get moved, eh?

No, the worst fans in college football are those of Miami, Florida, Tennessee, and Ohio State, with honorable mention given to Notre Dame and Oregon fans. It is neither ignorant nor talking shit when you have the best program in the history of a sport continuing in the present and, we would like to hope, future. No reason to hate us for it. I'm guessing we must have kicked the shit out of your team a time or two.

As far as being "inbred hicks," I point you to the "ignorant" portion of your comment.

Jealousy will get you nowhere.

In any case, it's sure to be a great season. Learned long ago not to count chickens when it comes to college ball, particularly Alabama football....For every championship we've won, there is at least another we came close and didn't. Lots of competition in the SEC and every season there is at least one team or three that come from out of nowhere and has a much better season than it looked like they might. And it's a particularly exciting time to be an Alabama fan. We won a championship when I was in school there in '92, and that was exciting, but that was nothing like this. Saban has created a a dynasty, rivalling even The Bear, and doing it at a time and under conditions that most thought such a thing couldn't be done again.

Definately going to be one to watch. That offense lit us up at home last year.
