lvl 17 mage seeks help finding good solo spots
 

hi, so far ive soloed my mage up to 17, and sorta in a blind spot on where to bring my mage to solo up some more, been on my shaman more or so lately due to always trying to find spots to solo and kept dying or very poor groups lately

but anyways, i've been wondering if others can help out on areas i can solo at till 30,

at lvl 30 ive been thinking of just hitting paw till 40 or so then doing ogre guards till 43ish for cash

whats some great areas you guys can think of for a mage to do from 17-50? only time i really group is with friends online when they log there lowbies, thanks! any nice info =P would and will be sufficant

At 17 most of the Gorge and East K will be blue to you. Highpass would be another good spot if you do the Gnolls.

17-24 Lake Rathe Aviaks

24-29 Mistmoore entrance trash

29-39 (maybe 34) - HHK Guards

My wife and I (mage/enc) get pretty beat up with caster mobs. I'd avoid Splitpaw if i were you.

Just out of curiosity, what is the issue with caster mobs? load up a couple of stuns and your lowest level nuke (as a chanter) and interrupt them. I love caster mobs with my chanter and necro combo (bro plays a necro) b/c they die so damn fast and rarely get more than maybe one nuke off.

tbh they just nuke the shit out of us and we don't resist a thing. we havent really fought caster types except a few randoms in mistmoore, so i do admit my sample is small.


Also @ phallax, i agree with your list, but it is not mine.

Oasis is a horrible zone. Unless you like being mindlessly attacked by suicidal cats every 30 seconds, random giant trains, ooc spam, rabies, mobs that don't drop any coin or worthwhile loot (crocs). At that point you are better off in a dungeon where at least there is a ZEM bonus.

Honestly you could start soloing aviaks at KFC in SK as early as level 16 (starting with the egrets) and stay there till the high 20's. Almost everything they drop is stack-able low weight loot (pages, words, runes, gems) and they never become KoS so you can just run upstairs and sell then go back down and continue killing.
