Random Idea: Account Tradeins
 

Rough idea: a GM will permanently delete your character in return for:

L50+ toon: change starting stats on another character of your choice
L55+ toon: guise of the deceiver on another character of your choice
L60+ toon: change starting stats and an illusion mask of your choice
L60+ toon w/epic: 1/4 chance at a prenerf fungus staff

Notes: you'd have to require eqemu or people would be sacrificing guild trackers left and right. I think it's probably better to have it as a one time thing, but it could be a continuous policy. Potentially it could also be extended to items, i.e. a fungi tunic is equivalent to a 55+ toon or something.

The main goal would be to trim the huge arsenal of players/items that have accumulated over the 3 years since Kunark came out. Right now its not that rare to see people with entire armies of toons (Treats is in the lead with 10 I believe). Removing some of them helps the raiding scene (less camping out, fewer toons clamoring for epics etc) while also giving people something to do before Velious (releveling/gearing the army, or even making new characters for the express purpose of trying to get a fungus staff or illusion mask or whatnot).

This exceeding trifling witling, considering ranting criticizing concerning adopting fitting wording being exhibiting transcending learning, was displaying, notwithstanding ridiculing, surpassing boasting swelling reasoning, respecting correcting erring writing, and touching detecting deceiving arguing during debating.

If starting stats included new race, I'd love this. :P

Well I think race would be one of the larger/more expensive things to change, but why not? It would probably involve resetting faction too which might or might not be a good thing. Other possiblities would be previous GM event items etc etc.

I love this idea. I'd love it even more if i hadn't already sold/given away most of my high lvl characters.

The only thing this would do is give high levels a player a reason to quickly plvl the crap out of a new toon to trade it in for items, destroying every low level zone in the process.

Agreed. The top-tier people would just chain-PL characters to trade in. Cool idea that sadly would be exploited to hell by people.
