new on red, Spells?
 

OK so brand new player here, I am having trouble making money to buy level 8 spells. Anyone have any suggestions? I loot every mob. Most any item has sold for is maybe 1 gold yet spells at lv8 cost 5-10 plat per. Anyone have any suggestions I might try?

cracked staffs

sell spider/spiderling silk and bone chips

Everyone who has ever amounted to anything in eq has farmed cracked staffs for spell money.

Chips only sell for small amounts of silver, If you suggest selling to other players, currently I cannot use OOC for what reason I couldn't tell you. Where can I find said cracked staves? Same with spider silk (as in vendor offers copper/silver).

oh crap. sell bone chips to necromancers

don't sell them to NPCs

skeletons commonly wield a cracked staff (2 for 1. hit those skeletons up)

Yeah below level 10, killing skeles. FoB gr8, and EFP/WFP/Nro

Ok, I will look for the cracked staff. as far as selling the chips. I have no way to advertise it yet as i cannot use OOC :( Also i started on the Red Server.

try /auc or /shout

I would however there is generally no one in my zone lol. I will try AUC

Paineel is awesome! tons and tons of skels, small area, fast respawn, and almost no competition. sure its way out of the way but you should be able to get a decent amount of chips/staves there.

My eru sk was in full leather, vendor purchased at like 2-3pp a peice and had a normal weapon, not rusty tarnished etc that cost over 10p by level 6 thanks to staves
