Trolled Death?

So this morning I guess there was some server lag and I pulled a sonic bat in SolB (next to SolA ZL), two came I figured I could get a cleaner pull so I went to zone, a few feet away.

I get 'loading please wait' and then it puts me back in DL (where I'm bound) dead and w/ less XP. So I look through the combat log and it said I had been hit for like ~400-500 damage (everything included in my chat history) but I have 1300 HP, so I have no idea how I actually died. There was no 'you have died' or whatever or "you have been slain by a bat" notification.

When I went back my corpse was still on the Sol B side of the zone and I was dead right at the ZL. So what happened? Did my zone out fail? Did my zone out lag me hen I got killed right there?

Sounds like you died right as you were zoning as a lag spike hit on your end.
