new/returning player, needin some travel help.
 

Hey everyone, I've lurked the forums for awhile. I started playing P99 back in '11 with some friends but stopped after we had some computer malfunctions, didn't even get past level 10 :( But now I am back with said friend, and my fiancee wants to join in.

I was wondering if any friendly druids or wizards could port my friend and I over to the commonlands sometime, she wants to make a dark elf and we are stuck in Qeynos/Halas. We'd rather go to her than her come to us (specially with the whole "evil" thing).

Also wanted to say a lot of yall are hilarious <3

In my opinion, although some may disagree with me, the best way to get a port out to EC would be to run to Qeynos and sail over to Tox (EF > BB > QH > N.Qey > S.Qey > Erud's > Erudin > Tox) and chill at the druid rings. '/who all druid 29 60' and start sending tells. Once you say you're new you should find help fairly quick depending on what time you play. While waiting is a pain, the boat trip is very fast, just recall that you gotta jump onto the white boat that comes out to meet you at the harbor. You don't dock right up to the city at Erudin.

The other option is to run to NK (more dangerous but not massively), (EF > BB > QH > WK > NK) I wouldn't go to the rings though as many hostile mobs roam nearby that could kill a lowbie, might want to instead hang out by the South Karana bridge with the guards and just /ooc druids passing through. Most won't mind walking over if they're porting.

While the second option seems shorter, WK is one of the longest zones in the game, but if you hate waiting for boats, know how to strafe, and don't mind the risk its a good option. And if you die during option #2, #1 comes out way ahead even.

Whichever one you choose, if I'm on my druid (Stembolt) I'll pick you up at either, so send a tell.

Thanks guys, the suggestions for the zone moving is to get to easier druid rings, not to get to Freeport/Neriak itself correct? My friend tried running through highpass hold but didn't have any luck with it. And reading about Kithicor Forest isn't making me feel good either lol

For the classic experience, take the dark elf to qeynos and have fun trying to learn your way through the catacombs! Lol :)

And if getting Druid fails just hit up a bard kiting on the plains and they should be able to guide you through. Or really any class that can either sow or invis. HHP the only real challenge in running across with using strafe.

Friend and I just made it to the Tox ring, guess all we have to do is wait now lol
