Patching
I just want to make sure I understand everything here.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are 3 methods of patching: 1- EQemu Launcher 2- Creating a "patch me" shortcut 3- Manually downloading I've always used the EQemu launcher, but I hate how it stays open after EQ launches. I'm curious if the "patch me" approach does the same thing. The only downside I can see is... on a patch day, you click the shortcut, and EQ doesn't launch for a long time because it's patching. Unless you're an avid forum user who knows when patches are released, this would be confusing. Is this all correct? Thanks! |
EQ emu was discontinued

1. Doesn't work anymore
2. Only skips having to launch through EMU and doesnt patch anything...(preferred by most) 3. This works... This isn't concrete but seems right... I'm no computer whiz so... Also, on patch days, Rogean makes the files available to download so you're able to dumb them directly into your EQ directory.... |

Patching yourself is incredibly simple.
Each update you basically copy a file down, unzip it, and cut and paste the contents into your EQ directory. |
