Its like Zelda and Minecraft had a child, I played release, levelling was bugged got level 600 in like 1 hour, haven't played since. Levelling doesn't do much in that game but increase how fast you can travel across the world and the CDs on your abilities.

Cube World, more focus'd on adventure, exploration, combat, rpg, than building/survival.

.41 is pretty legit, it seems there is some progression from area to area now. And the quality of items/mobs you can collect. So it's worth it to run around and work your way up to killing those +4's to get "Legendary" gear.

Another game it is very much like in this way is sacred... though sacred was not procedural and didn't level adjust anything.

It's still in alpha, it really needs a lot more procedural content. Quests. Maybe even some lore added.

The classes could all get a bit more depth. And I would like to see multiplayer fleshed out with more tougher creatures to fight in groups, and a master server list ala quake 3 would be so damn sweet.

The rouge is nice, but it's not sneaky enough.

The warrior is excellent. And the combat in the game is fun if you like action/fighting games with the dodging/power ups, special attacks. It's simple, but makes a big difference when you are skilled/pay focus to timing.

The rest of the UI, like the crafting/merchent interface is fine, could use a bit of polish, but it's all no biggies. The crafting works for what it is. The item drops aren't that well balanced though (try finding rubies...) And the interface should be 1 click rather than click and hold... shift click to buy a stack etc... but thats really nitpicking an alpha release of a game thats right now fun for a mindless/meditative grind.

Oh yeah, the designers don't skimp on atmosphere for a cartoony game, dark and gloomy caves are dark and gloomy, unless you cheat and get an uber lantern.

The regular dungeons could use more light sources/mobs with lanterns out. Other than that its a very pretty game with lots of variety in mob types, lands, places.

And the game needs more travel options, fast travel, portals and things and more obviously marked/labled.

You can get quite literally 3 IRL days away from an area. Quite literally leave "home" never to return.

Also because of the dodging, combat mechanics, pvp would be pretty darn fun lol. I could see players that are like level 10 destroying level 30 players if their better at doding/timing specials to interrupt other players, gear gap isn't that bad.

TBH... its more fun than d2 for me :D
