Fun With Linux
 

I've already got P99 working great on a Windows PC, but I really would like to get it working on my main (Linux Mint) PC. I followed all the instructions I could find, including deleting files, changing eqhost.txt, etc., and I run EverQuest.exe with the patchme argument:

wine "/home/me/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Sony/EverQuest/EverQuest.exe" patchme

but I can't get past the "Could not establish a connection" message. I know the network isn't the problem since the Windows machine works fine, so ... anyone have any thoughts?

what do you have for eth0 in /etc/network/interfaces?

My guess is that the client is having trouble with whatever your connection settings are. alas, im not very familiar with Mint.

use eqgame.exe NOT everquest.exe

otherwise ur good.
