IP Address Question..Diff Laptop

Hey All,

Right now I'm playing EQ on Laptop A, Ive got Laptop B sitting in the other room..Older laptop but better specs. Was curious, If I install EQ on laptop to play here on project 1999,...Am I going to run into any IP address issues? Im a noob with this stuff.. Is the IP address specific to my router? or to the actual computer.. Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by IP address issues - could you be more specific?

IP addresses are not based on your computer, they are based on whatever you are connecting to the internet from - in this case, your router.

I was specifically referring to the whole IP address exception thing..I guess strictly asking, If I have the client installed on both computers, but bounce back and forth among them given which one I grab that day, will I have an issue? Router is not changing, they are both connected through WIFI

As long as you're not doing both simultaneously, you shouldn't have an issue.

Login on one, play, then log out, and you can then do the same on the other.

You can log in to blue on one laptop and into red on another if you really want to be doing 2 things at once.

However, there's a popular idea among new players that they'll log Character B in to buff or help level Character A, and this is what gets people suspended/banned.

Aslong as you dont have 2 accounts running at same time on blue you are fine. Your thinking of IP issues that don't exist.
