/say range
 

Anyone have any idea of what the exact number is for this? Is it the same in every zone?

And what about /shout, /ooc and /auction? Are all these zone wide channels or are there any differences in terms of range?

shout,ooc and auction are all zonewide commands. Not sure what the "distance" is on say though.

The range on say always surprises me how big it actually is.

About 37 Halfling feet.

I remember sitting in the west corner of Naggy's lair and being able to hear people in Tranix's room. So yeah, pretty large.

We recently implemented the correct distances for client say, and npc say.

My research led to ~ 100 distance. Prior to this change, it was 2x farther.

I know they're wide. Are we talking about double width distance?

I'll need to sit this one out maybe and rejigger my calculmalations.
