cant find a blacksmith for shit
 

i just looked at the tradeskill sticky and theres like 15 posts back to back of people asking for a blacksmith. is there really no one with high level blacksmithing?

if anyone reading this can make fine steel plate, i am in the market to buy some pants.

I have 175 blacksmithing. The greaves are 228 trivial. I have no problem making them, but I need leather padding: http://wiki.project1999.com/Leather_Padding

So if you can bring me leather padding, or even the low quality skins/pelts and silk required (I have enough tailoring), then I'll keep attempting. I won't charge anything besides the mats for the leather padding.

This would be in the EC/Freeport area.

That goes for anyone btw, I'd like to skill up my blacksmithing a bit more but I hate farming animals/spiders for the padding. I don't mind eating the cost of the other materials.

The "main" blacksmithing page lists a trivial of 228, but the specific Fine Plate Greaves page lists a trivial of 182. I'm not sure which is correct.

I can blacksmith but I'm at 200 and don't want my skill to go above 200.

By the way, fine plate trivial were recently raised, same with banded armor. If you have leather padding, it's super easy to raise. Someone in tunnel sold me like 30 stacks of leather padding. Just need to find someone crazy enough to make that many.

What's the problem with your skill going above 200?

You can only take one trade skill above 200. I'm thinking I want to take tailoring above 200 in Velious but not sure yet. Maybe brewing to make trade skill quests easier.
