Northeast

Just wondering how many people we have in the community that live in the northeast and could share some experiences for those that live in the harsh environments of california.

In central maine here the "warmest" it has been in the last 3 days is -7. Within 2-3 breaths the inside of my nostrils are literally frozen.

the ice and snow are minor in comparison to this temperature. For people that have never experienced negative degree weather you can't even begin to comprehend.

oh just saw on the news its going to be -31 tonight...

at least tomorrow we should see positive degrees come on 3!!!

Grew up in Ontario Canada and all over Michigan. ALWAYS keep a bag of kitty litter in your car. That shit will save you from the most desperate of situations.

Hot hands, those breakable packages that produce warmth. Those are life saving literally hah

Yeah man they're amazing, I even found a pair of mittens with a little pocket for them so they don't burn your hands with direct contact.

The low here in NE Pennsylvania is gonna be around -2 today so I can't compare to yours, but it is a bit nipply out right now here.

I am missing my hometown atm, though. Tri-Cities, Washington State. The winters are pretty nice there usually because of the desert climate. Yes, there is some snow but it isn't too bad, usually.

ahhhh I can't even imagine!

When you exhale does the moisture freeze and fall to the ground?

yeah I've had to jump my friends car the past 3 days haha.

Live in Lewiston here. Windchill last night was -40 or so. I walked to 7-11 down the road and thought my nose was going to freeze off. 7-11 is a block away haha.
