Red Dawn the death of r99
 

p99 was my first eq experience. i started feb of last year. a huge part of a pvp server is pvp, ffa pvp. this pnp has taken all the fun out of pvp. i wud rather someone sit on my corpse for 72 hrs than be told i cant enter a zone for 1 hr. i wud rather keep trying over an over to fight than sit around waiting to avenge my death.
when i started on this server there was xp loss in pvp. i died all the time. i never cried about it. i didnt complain, ppl better than me killed me, kudos to them, they are good at what they do. if u needed help w cr u got some guildies, an if ur guild cudnt help u waited an sometimes waited an waited some more.
I propose that instead of the pnp, xp loss for pvp is reinstated, give it a week all the bluebie cry babies will go back to blue an find something to cry about on their own server where they belong. Then when all the bluebie babies are gone the rest of r99 can go back to the way things were before pnp, the way a pvp server should be.
Certain ppl might say that if nihilum was banned server pop wud be 200+ sure maybe but what fun is it when 190 of those ppl are in the same guild.

You want the server to be reinstated to what it was at a time with a population of 20?

You want to run off all competition and players interested in PvE other than Nihilum?

You want to reinstate an environment where those that cheated, gained an advantage and then raided uncontested for 2 years have the power to grief players hours on end with no honor?

You don't respect the winner of a fight and wish to bombard them all night by bind rushing them? Pushing your play times, which are most likely higher, onto others to compete for PvE instead of using PvP skill to determine the victor?

Whatever your definition of REAL pvp, its not what went on on Rallos

Rallos had basically free for all training (I never knew training giants in Oasis was apparently a bannable offense on Rallos until i read forums here, must have been barely enforced cuz people did it all the time), "Bind rushing" (We just called it pvp) and no xp loss in pvp that artificially makes the gameplay 90% PVE and 10% PVP. Spectre to docks is actually a cherished memory of mine, not some toxic whatever. PnP? I was an anti-pk, and lol @ PNP.

Id sum up red99 in 2 words: Missed opportunities

It is meant to bring honor to the server. If you lose a fight you move on, or stay in the zone with the victor's permission. You want to continue to rush people after a PvP death over and over? I don't think many are on your side there, so wanting to change a server for your own play style is selfish.

As for Nihilum. They align with you on this only because they wish to push back spawn times, if needed, to hours where others have to go to work so they can raid uncontested. It has happened every time other guilds have contested and both sides were aloud to mindlessly bind rush for as long as they pleased.

If you can't see the logic in that then I hate to say it but this server will be better off without you.

As a PvPer you should embrace the new system and take joy in taking someone's zone for an hour with a good kill.
