Velious Effect: Items that will crash/jump in value
 

Such as NoS, CoS, FBSS, etc

What would you speculate the prices will become after the nerfs/replacements.

CoS I'm especially curious about.

edit: i realize the way i wrote this it seemed like i was asking about these specific items, i was, but feel free to speculate about items here too.

There are sooooooo many CoS out there though. I don't think it will jump more than a few k tops which is still significant for the price of the item currently.

FBSS probably won't go down too much, maybe back to 8k like it used to be but the SCHW will be such a diffrence in price at first that it shouldn't cause FBSS to drop much IMO

Seems it wasn't nerfed until a year after Velious, wonder if it will be here.

Edit: I would speculate an item which ceases dropping (regardless of initial influx) with such a unique ability would sky rocket in price since it becomes possible for the big EC players to hoard said item across multiple mules until their pp runs out, and then turn around and sell it to someone desperate for it for insane profit.

CoS will go up in price moderately when it eventually gets nerfed (still sticks around for a good amount of time after Velious) and will slowly rise in price as the server ages. At this point though there is a significant supply of them on the server so it will take a while before they really skyrocket.

NoS will tank abruptly as the raiders replace them with no-drop dragon talismen and then partially recover after a few months once the initial flood of them hitting the market subsides. Probably settle at 2/3rds its currents price eventually.

FBSS will be untouched.

Diamondine earrings will tank (probably become a 50p item if people are still even selling them) as the superior (and more common) orc fang/cougar claw earrings hit the market.

Too many people obsess over item values and the EC/plat game :p

Seb scale armor will tank due to Ry'Gorr armor, except some select pieces.

Crystalline Robe and Blackened Crystalline Robe will cause most other robes to drop in price, particularly the froglok robe.

Chipped Velium Amulet destroys value of Runed Lava Pendant.

Dustcryer's Crystal Ball tanks due to easy access to superior ranged item available by always-drop trigger mob in the shawl quest and, to a lesser degree, the Teachers Syllabus and Student's Homework.

Frost-covered tome lightly reduces price on Idol of the Thorned.

Phenocryst's Focus heavily reduces demand on Book of Obulous.

Shawl quest reduces demand on Obulous Death Shroud and Loam-encrusted Amice.

Coldain-skin quest reduces price of Impskin gloves and Loam-encrusted pants.

Lots of others I'm sure due to fairly simple quests in Kael in particular.

but this one would be gloves and boots, not pants. So maybe GEBs tank a bit.

unless I'm thinking of a dif quest (turn in the head of two dwarves to giants for Coldain Skin gloves and boots)

Flayed Coldain-skin leggings.

I had actually forgotten about the boots, but you're right, those will affect GEBs.

Plat HP Rings -> Replaced by 6AC/65HP Velium Rings
BS Plat Necklace -> Replaced by 65HP/Mana BS Velium Neck

etc. Whatever slot the Velium jewelry goes in, that old plat or gold or electrum piece becomes much less valuable cause no longer the 'best'

Or the velium will be higher priced. Hard for created items to drastically change in price because of the price of materials to create.
