NEED MAGICIAN HELP BADLY!!

I just got my level 12 mage line pets, im trying to summon them and its saying missing required component lapis lazuli. Am i mistaken in saying that all levels up to max level mage pets are supposed to cost a malachite? Ive played a mage since 2000 and still do on live, am i missing something (other than the obvious lapis lazuli)

my level 4 and 8 pets cost a malachite as well, so one random spell level randomly just costs lapis?....

ya dunno i know the 16 pets do too. cant remember when it switches back but its just the way it is. if you think its wrong do research and post proof of it not being classic in the bugs section.

Mage pets where supposed to take a different gem every spell level but it was changed to malachite on launch.

The lvl 12 pets requiring lapis is a remenent of that sysyem the originals dev forgot to change when they changed them all to malachite.

Tldr its the only spell that requires it so buy a few until 16 then never touch it.

Also leave some malachite and lapis in your bank in case you die and need a pet to get corpse. won't happen often, but you will be glad you did.

Thanks for the info gents, honestly it would have been pretty cool to use a different gem every level, but SUPER annoying Lol. =)

was exactly the same on live unfortunately
