How long are characters saved/stored?
 

I had signed up and even donated a few years back (sometime in 2011 I think) to this but it appears I know longer have a valid account with the email address I signed up with.

Does anyone know how long they are stored for? I had around a lvl 12-14 iksar necro camped in the karanas doing aviaks. I think he was around that level anyway. He couldn't take the top-end birds that much I do recall. I'd like to recover him if it's possible.

Is my account pretty much gone though? Thanks in advance.

Characters/accounts are never deleted. They stay in the DB forever.

Thank you for the information. I tried recovering my account on this board but it said my email was not valid.

I've been using this email account since late 2006 so I don't believe I would have used another one but if I did, is there anything else I could do to recover that character?

If I recall correctly, the account to login to the forums was the same as the servers, right?

It shouldn't be, but you could have done it that way.

Your account on this board is for this forum. you would need to log onto the EQemulator page and get your password restored for that account then log in there and look at your account names and hope your password comes to you. They dont restore passwords that you forget for your login server accounts.

Crap. I don't know my LS PW. Been researching this issue for the past hour now over on the EQEmu site. Just tons of threads about pissed off players wishing to recover their accounts.

Is there someone or something I can contact to get this resolved? I might be able to provide a confirmation # for my donation several years back as well for proof of ownership.

Thanks! I was happy to find out that I was actually lvl 20. Stronger pet and all. I was still camped in the Karanas at the aviaks though.

Got a friend who is working his way up now as a Halfling Druid. Should be a fun duo team. Memories!
