Where to farm Earthen Temper mats
 

'ey guys.

I'm a 181 Dwarven Smithy looking to get into cultural. I just wanted to know if there are reliable places for farming the mercury and lava rocks that a Cleric can do @ 35? I also tried farming Steamfont for the mercury for over an hour with no luck. Do the EEs in steamfont have placeholders, because it seems they spawned slower and slower, thern stopped spawning.

Please post if you have any insight as to this problem.

I've gotten a couple of drops of Mercury off the earth elementals in Najena recently.

Yeah, as far as I know, Steamfont is not a good place for these items. Lavastorm and Najena.

I have spent a lot of time in Najena the last week. The lava rocks will be very hard to get. iirc the flame elemental only has one spawn point (maybe two?) in Najena and the lava rocks seem to be very rare. And I think it can have a PH. There are a shitload of Earth Elementals, but the drops of mercury are fairly rare. I probably collected 15 vials of swirling mist (from air eles), 5 drops of mercury and 2 or 3 lava rocks in the past week. Mind you, i'm not solely camping the elementals but killing them irregularly.

I just got my dwarf up to 230 skill and i went to make my first piece of cultural.... 1 jacinth per enchanted brellium... the BP alone takes 9 jacinths... and they are going for about 400 per. So yeah. fuck all that.

4-5 months after Velious the gem requirements for cultural metal enchants gets removed. Until then, kinda sucks.

back in the fall when i last played i could get 2-3 mercury in an hour or so in steamfont.
