Not taking full damage when sitting from melee hits
Noticed I was sitting and got hit for 83 instead of cap of 120.
Think a change to red at some point caused this? Not sure, but I am pretty sure it was working here at one point. |
Don't ever recall it working. I think it's been posted about several times.

Shit's p.classic atm. Gotta say.
Whenever this one can get nailed down is completely fine with me. |
Sitting doesn't properly put you at the top end of the DI, but it does certainly increase the accuracy of a mob attacking you.
I seem to recall sitting being a max hit also but meh. Not nearly as big an issue since people aren't staring at their book to med and can mouse wheel into 3rd person :P |
Getting hit for max sitting is something pvp players will remember all too well :P.
Almost lost a manna robe in PoM to duelist rogue cuz of it. |
It was working at one point, then it wasn't. Not sure what happened, but it should be the npcs max possible hit if sitting.

I think it was some fix to red for players at low lvls hitting too much in pvp? I remember an SS showing up of someone on red critting for like 300 at lvl 20 with a weighted axe in Unrest and lots of attention surrounding it.
At any rate I'm sure aside from being a simple fix, its an annoying code dig to find the right place to change it. |
Alecta made changes to how sit damage is computed for red because it was using the highest possible damage instead of being appropriate to the attacker/weapon/skills/str etc...
He doesn't read server bugs, only red AFAIK, so you should alert him of this since it may require his input. |
^ that about matches the memory of how this all went down. Lvl 30's hitting for max of a lvl 50 instead of a lvl 30 on sit.
So it's jumping the max logic to compute it as a regular swing... but not grab the max and ensure the hit. |
Not sure, but I though when you sat, if whoever hit you had a double attack, both hits would be max damage? Or a triple would be three hits for max? Anyone remember this details?
