Your guild crosses the line with the rules, I was pointing out why we have rules in aus such as carrying a weapon is considered motive to inflict harm. Just like sending bards and rogues to vp with Rez boxes who run around aggroing mobs is a similar concept. If someone gets stabbed and your caught with the knife that you were carrying, they don't give a shit what your story is. You took a knife with you with the intention to stab someone. If you go into vp and aggro mobs with a Rez box and wipe a raid you seriously have no excuse, that's called training. You went in there knowing a raid was in progress and had no intention of actually fighting the players.

Nah they just made the rules simple so ppl can't bullshit their way out of criminal acts. It is acceptable to defend yourself with equivalent force, however carrying a weapon or bringing one with you is motive to inflict grievous bodily harm. If you are at a steak house and someone tries to shank you with a broken bottle and you impulsively grab a steak knife and stab him through his arm, that can be considered self defence, as you did not premeditate the act of causing grievous bodily harm.
