is dropping Crushbone belts, despite the fact that he has the skin of the Deathfist Orcs and he gives Deathfist Orc faction.

Did you try handing him two belts at a time instead of one? This has worked for me in the past here; although, when I handed him one at a time he did not eat it, I just received it back on my cursor.

No I just gave one. I'll try two next time I have a couple belts.

I just turned in two belts to him, and got the reward. 6 gold and the correct faction hits.

Allah's says the quest requires 1 belt on live and the quest text here seems to reflect that, so id say either the text or the number of turn ins needs to be adjusted.

Lost 8 belts on him. Cant /petition cause the /deletepetition not working either.
In afternoon, Traded 4 belts to Captain.. Nothing at all. Relogged. Traded 4 belts to Captain. Nothing... I'd like the belts back plz

(I traded 4 belts to Captain before this in morning... Got exp. Traded 3 belts to Captain right after... got exp)

No one made a post in this thread saying it was fixed. There was nothing in the patch notes saying it was fixed. Why would you try it again?
