Light blue con

Until a patch in 2001, light blue npcs didn't exist.

Quote:

- We have changed the way the /consider command works. We have added a
'light blue' area between green and blue. NPCs that used to /consider
green but gave experience will now /consider light blue, as well as
NPCs of slightly lower level than those greens. You will always get
experience for something that is light blue. You will not receive
experience for greens. At the same time, by including lower level NPCs
in the light blue /consider, we have increased the range of lower level
NPCs that will grant experience. This will be most noticeable for
characters of higher level.
If we were to remove light blues, is anyone familiar with the level ranges that should change? i.e. what is considered a high green? I assume it wouldn't be as simple as replacing light blue with green, that still gives exp, since the patch message states they increased the range of lower level npcs that grant exp.

Do green con npcs currently give exp? If so, they shouldn't since light blue is in game.

Maybe this will help since they give their levels and where they hunt and what is light blue?

Stupid level 55.

Its taking me longer than 54. I want Revivesence...I want to play my alts...I want to live again, but I can't get past 55.

Now that Cyndreela is light blue I wonder if I'm desperate enough to hit her at 55. She was good exp in 54 for me anyway.

Chardok groups CAN be okay, but everywhere else is soooo slow

I play with my RL friend a 55 enchanter, is there a duo-spot that would take us the 2 yellow I need to ding quickly?

Was thinking Seafury's...something old world or without a ton of hitpoints...preferreably level 41 or 42...

Loot is not important

This seems to imply that at 54 Cyndreela was blue and now at 55 it's light blue (when it was otherwise green?)

I targetted pet and feared with panic undead, then turned and retargetted Cyndreela, and stunned her and rooted and nuked her dead. Then I sat on the corner of the portal and medded. About 6 mins she respawned and ran over to attack me. I stunned her, rooted and backed up and nuked her down. Then sat to med again. She respawnded 6 mins later and I stunned her again and then nuked her, but had to finish the fight by chasing her and meleeing to finish. In that process I also got a DB to join in which I had to then melee also. After that, I headed to a corner to med back up and heal, then when I was FM and health, I went back and started again with fearing the pet and killing cyndreela. So her spawns are too quick for the normal cleric to take out. It might be possible if you had a mana stone (like the above poster mentioned). She was green to me at 55 but still gave decent xp.
I guess this doesn't help with the new range, lol

I've soloed the spectral keepers in Trak near the EJ zone quite a bit. At 51, all were exp, even the greens. Now at 52 (thanks to the keepers ), some of the greens no longer give exp. I've never pulled more than one keeper, but I use Sense the Dead to target them, to ensure that I've selected the closest one, and not one that will run into aggro range of another one to get to me. It also helps me find one that might be hiding.
So the lowest level spectral keepers went no xp at 52 (they are level 36 according to allakhazam?). What do the lowest level spectral keepers con/give currently at 52? Scale from that?

Some greens on p99 do give xp (albeit a rare occurrence) - I've heard it mentioned it is caused by a rounding/miscommunication between the server and client (client thinks the mob is in green range, server thinks it is light blue).

Nice to see this being looked into, I bug reported a few months ago :)

I don't have any data yet for con ranges unfortunately.

Great classic bug fix.

I hope to see forced Classic UI / book medding fixed next.

Too many people making the game easy with 10 slot hot bars and multiple hot bars. Same with multiple chat windows and sitting to med! The prospect of a classic UI requirement gets me all excited.

There were some greens that have xp and others that didn't. Thus came along the light blue con.

If a green is currently giving exp, it is due to diff in what server and client think is light blue. Would be nice to track down that issue if possible.

My wizard is 58 and I saw two drolvarg gnashers that were light blue. They are no higher than 38 from what I've seen on the wiki/zam/etc.

On this same Wizard, I have seen green Seafury Cyclops' and their lowest level is 38 according to everything I've seen.

Is it possible that a 38 mob can be green and another 38 mob light blue?

another backward step to keep the anally retentive clowns happy.

Use your time for something better to code. OR fix broken stuff

`Until a patch in 2001, light blue npcs didn't exist. `

Ironical......you should be up to that patch already!
