Forgot all about trigonometry or whichever discipline it is.

Trying to get the height of a minivan (at ramp level) which have a ramp for wheelchair.

Heres the data that i have,

Ramp lenght = 52 inch, angle of ramp at floor level is 12,5 degree.
Anyone can calculate the height for me.

i am pretty confident we have people able to resolve tis pretty easily, i am too old for that :)

gotta know your cos and sin dawg

sin(x) = opposite / hypotenuse

sin(12.5) = h / 52

h = 52 * sin(12.5)

h = 11.255

Thats what i was doing on my calculator, but kept getting -3.44, what the fuck?

radian mode?

i was going to post the calculator but i was stoned and took a movie of my cat, so yea.

haha yeah first i just went to a random trigonometry page and saw all that about radians, cos and sin.

i was like yeah i remember some of that... but not enough to actually try :)
