What is the goal of poking fun at someone?
 

I noticed on these boards a lot of people talk trash about each other. What's the goal?

It's sociopathic psychotic behavior. Almost akin to prison rape/beating someone up so you can intimidate the other prisoners in prison.

Because Chest cries like a little girl and bush + towers.

Same reason people do it in RL, they are insecure/lonely and it makes them feel better about themselves or part of a group.

That or they have run out of valid arguments and must stoop to personal attacks.

But in before the wave of "we do it for the lawls" posts.

Boredom.

Depends on the trash talk. Some is just personal bemusement; some is a bonding thing amongst friends; some is flirting; etc.

Or some other P99 related meme.
