warrior, how do you use the throw ability?

How do I throw things? I just broke myself getting a runed bone fork for my 17 lvl warrior and not sure how it works. Tried with a rusty hammer before but hitting the ranged attack button didn't seem to do anything.

And I can throw it and i I wont lose it right?

Whatever you put into Range slot and throw - you will LOSE

range = throw and lose, ranged = just sits there

or maybe its the reverse

possibly.
But still the only way to "use" ranged weapon is to throw it and hence lose it permanently.

I don't know how much RBF cost, but its usually valued for its +30 resists bonus than can go into range slot, NOT as a weapon.

You can only throw ranged items that have a 'Range' amount in the item description.

Rusty Warhammer
This only has a range of 40. Very very short*

Forged Javelin
This has a range of 210. Good, typical throwing choice.

Runed Bone Fork
This has a range of 50. Again, not that great at all.

Thex Dagger
This doesn't have a range distance listed in the description. You can't throw this item, no matter how hard you click on that throw hotkey.

Thex Dagger and Runed Bone Fork (and most ranged items)are completely sought after due to their stats. Most warriors go without a ranged ability in return for some tasty stats. Let the monks and other mana users do the pulling; it wont be your job most of the time.

*Pretty sure 40 range on an item is too close to even use. Didnt test this too extensively, but I remember getting a message stating I was too close to the mob, or too far away for the weapon when I last tried to chuck a Rusty Warhammer. Ive never tested throwing a RBF

^ it is possible to accidentally throw your RBF

also, Throwing Boulders are sort of a fun toy if you're one of the big races that can use them. mostly just a novelty on Blue, though. (but pretty valuable on Red)

how can I make sure i never throw my rbf?

Kika Maslyaka 04-16-2014 09:21 PM
