Druid rooting, high resists?

Im on my lvl 28 druid, rooting Warslik giants and dotting with Creeping Crud.

Ive almost died 4 times because they resist root 40% of the time, thats not exaggerated, it's that bad. Blue conning mobs. And about 30% of the roots that do land INSTANTLY break (within 2 seconds). This is way too dangerous.

I'll probably switch to charm killing when I ding if these resists are the norm on p99.

Use the P1999 Wiki and examine mobs with what level they are and what level you are in comparison. You want to shoot for mobs that are just barely still dark blue - at this point your roots will land with a high degree of certainty. It's when you get just one or two levels below you that you have problems.

Example - My level 34 druid rooting level 32 and 33 ogre guards in Oggok will have common chain resists and troubles. If I gun for a mob 4 levels below me or more, the resists become a rarity.

Yeah, it's all about the level difference. You won't have an easier time trying to charm kill mobs if you keep going for high dark blues, by the way. Charm will just be the spell breaking all the time instead of root.

At 60, basically anything that doesn't summon (1-50 mobs), root almost never resists and almost always lasts full duration.

When I get up into 55+ mobs, its becomes much more hit or miss on resists and duration.
