EQ not the only game still ticking after 15+ years...

Never played this one myself but an interesting article on Meridian 59...

I think my favorite line from the article is "We grew up on games where losing meant ‘game over.’".

i think brobb and sektors came from that game. ask them about it.

Actually just about all of <Force> in it's early stages were former Meridian players.

I bet they even got forums

You'd probably like it there, 20 players max and you can take their items after you slay them.

just past that quote is this one

Quote:

Just like in real life, we felt that some level of risk makes things more exciting. If there were nothing at stake, combat would be meaningless

That game looks pretty fun, I bet its full of sociopaths, this community would prolly fit right in :)

I reckon FU on RZ came over from M59? Ja?

So that's why brobb thinks eq = irl

So I want to be a Hero 05-13-2014 01:10 PM

I gave it a shot could not get past the mummies, in the tutorial . It reminds me of doom. Meridian 59 has 2 official servers 101, 102 and a private server 103. On 101 there was 18-20 people,on 102 3 people. I have no idea about 103. I played around 8pm mountain standard time.
